Parish Life Commission
 

 
Supports parishioners who have experienced the loss of a parent, spouse, child or sibling. 

 
Provides a support network and resources to parish members diagnosed with cancer.

 
Provides home-cooked meals to parishioners and their families afflicted with illness, disability, and/or in grief.

Promotes and teaches fertility awareness to married and engaged couples.

Volunteers provide light meals in the Parish Hall for families following a funeral held at St. John's

Parishioners use their gift of knitting and crocheting to create prayer shawls and scarves that will be blessed, then given to someone who is suffering from a terminal illness.

 
Builds community among the married couples of St. John’s through social gatherings in people’s homes centered on faith oriented discussions.  

Mothers and their children meet and play together in the Church Nursery.  Participants learn, share, and have fun.  

 
Support group providing encouragement and information regarding all methods of N.F.P.

 
Provides child care during weekend Masses and for various Ministry programs.

The Pro-Life & Pro-Family’s focus is to increase awareness on, provide education about, and create community centered around the Catholic teachings of the sacredness of life, from conception to natural death, and the critical role of family as the domestic Church. 

 
Offered in a 9-Week class format, parishioners are taught the basics of quilt making.  Completed baby quilts are donated to mothers and babies in need.

Volunteers staff our Church gift shop after weekend Masses and offer many devotional and religious items for sale.

 
Provides spiritual, social and service programs for all senior parishioners, age 50 and over, emphasizing fellowship and spiritual growth.  Senior Ministries serves both our homebound and active senior parishioners.
 

 
Parishioners who have a family member with special needs may contact the leads for support and guidance.

 
Parishioners greet members and visitors as they enter and leave church at all Masses and host receptions to welcome our new parishioners.

 

 

Provides opportunities for all women to grow in faith and fellowship.

 


 
Single parishioners, who are 30 years and younger, meet for social activities, spiritual discussions, and service work.
